- 본 발명은 HBx 유전자로 형질전환된 동종접합체(homozygote) 마우스를 이용한 당뇨병 치료제 또는 예방제의 스크리닝 방법에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 B형 간염바이러스(Hepatitis B Virus)의 유전자 중 주된 간암 유발 인자로 알려진 B형 간염 바이러스 X(Hepatitis B virus X
HBx) 유전자로 형질전환된 동종접합체 마우스(HBxmet 마우스)에서 당뇨병이 유도되므로 이를 이용하여 당뇨병 치료제 또는 예방제를 스크리닝하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 HBxmet 마우스는 B형 간염에 의한 간암 발생과 당대사 이상과의 상관관계, 및 당뇨병 치료제 또는 예방제의 개발에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다. 인간 B형 간염바이러스 X 단백질, 당뇨병 동물 모델.
