Abstract
With the growth of research and development (R&D), the use of experimental equipment has increased continually in university research laboratories, enterprise institutes, and government research institutes, which caused an increase of experimental equipment accidents. The experimental equipment accidents can lead to safety and health problems among researchers in laboratories. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the high-risk equipment in laboratories, to develop a safety manual for researchers, and to provide information to researchers to be educated of hazardous factors of given pieces of equipment. On the basis of this study, the researcher is to identify the hazardous points before using the equipment. In addition to, this study is expected to the development of policy concerning accident prevention of experimental equipment.
