Abstract
Zhang et al. discovered that very large DNA methylation nadirs (grand canyons) form megabase-scale and inter-chromosomal 3D genomic interactions in primary stem and progenitor cells. H3K27me3 is strongly enriched in grand canyons and is important for organizing the grand canyon interactions associated with their stem cell state.
