Abstract
The study was carried out to determine the suitable explants and the appropriate medium for clonal propagation in in vitro culture of three potato cultivars such as Namzak, Sumi and Daeji. The medium of M & S's macroelement mixed with Heller*s micronutrient and supplemented with casein HC11 g/1, myo-inositol 100 mg/1, malic acid 100 mg/1, and 1 nig/1 of thiamine HC1 and nicotinic acid was more effective than the modifyed M & S medium for clonal propagation of potato stem node. The clonal propagation of stem node was more effective in the liquid suspension culture than on soild culture, and the nodal part was more effective in the lower axillary bud than the upper one for clonal propagation. However, The effects seemed to be no response between cultivars.
