- Abstract
- Four amino acids were deleted in murine y-interferon gene using simple oligonucleotide directed mutagenesis in order to check whether the 4 amino acids were required for the anti-viral activity. Plasmid pYL-2 was constnicted using expression vector pEV-vr£3 and the plasmid pMifko-1 which contains the whole coding sequence for the cDNA and 5'-and 3'-noncoding sequences. Results demonstrated that deletion of the four amino acids from the amino-terminal region of the murine y-interferon still showed anti-viral activity in vitro.
