- Abstract
- 본 발명은 신규 비스-2-히드록시에틸테레프탈레이트 가수분해효소(bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate hydrolase, BHETase) 및 이를 활용한 모노히드록시에틸테레프탈레이트(monohydroxyethyl terephthalate, MHET)의 생산방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 신규 BHETase는 기존에 보고된 PET(Poly(ethylene terephthalate) 가수분해효소(PETase)와 달리, 높은 수율로 제조되고, 효소의 활성이 높은 온도에서도 지속되는 장점이 있으며, 특히 BHET를 화학적인 방법으로도 생산하기 어려운 MHET까지만 분해할 수 있는 특징이 있는 바, 본 발명의 신규 BHETase는 MHET 대량 생산에 적용할 수 있다.
