Abstract
In this study, we propose an integrated training module that combines smart glasses with an EEG sensor and optimizes a gravity compensation mechanism based on a parallelogram link. The EEG sensor part was designed and an EVA foam forehead contact pad was developed. Additionally, a parallelogram link module with a tension spring was attached to the smart glasses' arms. Optimization was performed to ensure that the gravity torque and spring torque components of the parallelogram link module balanced each other within the range of rotation angles. As a result, the optimal position for the spring attachment point was identified, confirming effective gravity compensation. This optimization process balanced the weight of the integrated training module and reduced pressure on the forehead contact area, allowing users to wear the smart glasses comfortably for extended periods. The findings suggest that this approach could be beneficial for various systems incorporating small-scale parallelogram link structures.
