dc.description.abstract | A cytotoxic compound was purified from the root of Angelica gigas Nakai by normal phase HPLC. As a result of the structure analysis by mass, IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectrometry, the compound was identified as decursinol angelate, a structural isomer of decursin, and characterized originally from Sesei grandivittatum. Decursinol angelate showed in vitro cytotoxicity and protein kinase C activating activities like decursin. | - |
