dc.description.abstractIn SD rat, a change of ovarin GnRH mRNA level with age was investigated. E₂ and P concentrations in serum and ovary were determined by RIA. Slot-blot hybridization technique was used to scan GnRH mRNA level in rat ovary using synthetic GnRH oligomer probe labelled with ^(32)P by 5´-end labelling method. No significant change with ovarian aging was observed in P concentration, but a significant decreased E₂ level was found in 18 month-aged rat. And in comparision with 2 month-aged, ovarian GnRH mRNA level in 18 month-aged rat was markedly increased at 2.86 times. In conclusion, GnRH seems to related not only to control of ovarian activities but to aging of female reproductive organs including ovary.-
