dc.description.abstractThe regioselective synthesis of pyrazoles via the ring cleavage of 3-substituted N-alkylated 3-hydroxyisoindolin-1-ones was reported. A one-pot addition-decyclisation-cyclocondensation process was employed in the analysis. The N-tert-butyl group was found to be the best for producing the α-acetylenic ketone intermediate.-
