dc.description.abstractCallus induction from a leaf explant was achieved in Lilium Oriental hybrid 'Casa Blanca'. The highest frequency of callus induction was obtained in MS (Murashige and Skoog's) medium supplemented with 0.5 BA and 2.0 mg NAA/litre after 2 months of culture. The cultures were maintained continuously without changes in colour and type of callus when cultured in the dark. Plantlet regeneration at a high frequency was achieved from calluses induced in the same medium.-
